The first female president of Ireland (Mary Robinson) reserved her most passionate thanks for the “Women of Ireland- Mná na hÉireann”- who instead of rocking the cradle rocked the system, and who came out in massive numbers to make their mark on the ballot paper, and on a new Ireland.

'Women of Ireland' comprises a touring company made up of the best female performers within the Irish musical tradition performing alongside other world class musicians, singers & dancers. The full-scale stage production produced in Ireland has been described as 'mesmerising' by the Irish Examiner and the talent of the cast as 'superhuman at times…gripping' by the Sarasota Herald Tribune. The name 'Women of Ireland' refers to a beautiful piece of music bearing the same name and known in the Irish language as 'Mná na hÉireann'. 'Women of Ireland' is also the only Irish & Celtic show in the world which incorporates an aerial artist. The daring and and often awe-inspiring feats of the aerialist are woven to the beautiful strains of the shows Celtic music and provide a unique aspect within this genre. The common theme inherent in all performances will be the presentation of the most revered qualities of Ireland's ethnic music which will be transported from the Irish fireside to the international concert hall platform.

Special significance is placed on depicting the pure qualities of Irish music in a contemporary setting while the performance also includes well known popular songs which will be given a stirring Celtic treatment. Much loved Irish songs such as Danny Boy, Carrickfergus and You Raise Me Up are intermingled with some classic vocal numbers such as Let It Be and God Bless America while all pieces are given a unique Irish & Celtic treatment. Alongside these beautiful vocal numbers are pulsating and emotive instrumental tracks and to cap it all off the graceful female dancers are a sight to behold. 'Women of Ireland' were guests of the 'Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra' during a 12-week tour of North America in 2009 and following widespread positive reaction to the act it has toured the US every year since in addition to performing throughout Europe and in Places such as Chile and Japan.
